In you to give?

I've been wanting to donate blood for YEARS, but something always comes in the way of it.

In high school, the blood drive when I was in 11th grade was in March, and I didn't turn 17 until June... and there was no blood drive the next year.

Since then, I keep getting sick. Or I get pierced too frequently.

I haven't had any new work done since at least September, so according to that guideline I should be okay now.

But! I was just on the Canadian Blood Services website, looking at their eligibility requirements (it never hurts to check, right?)... and they have a weight requirement of at least 110 lbs!

Hi, my name is Andraea, and my weight fluctuates from 100-110 lbs on a regular basis. I'm not iron deficient, nor am I prone to fainting. I do well with needles, and really do want to help people.

But because I'm petite, I might not be eligible.

Gah.

I doubt they'll make you step on a scale there, if you think you're healthy to donate, then just say you are 110.
