Product Review: Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat

I had my gel nails taken off on Friday. Why? Because the maintenance is far too expensive for my tastes, and I would rather spend money on polishes and things than $35 every month to have my gels touched up.

Inspired by this post by Christine at 15 Minute Beauty Fanatic, I spent an afternoon trekking around Southgate in search of Seche Vite topcoat. I'm notoriously hard on my nails (which is one of the reasons I got gels in the first place, but gel nails always leave my natural nail weak and peel-y, despite how little they buff them), and since Beauty Express had it (yay!), I decided to splurge and buy a bottle. And since I'm so awesome at sale lurking, I also bought OPI's Natural Nail Base Coat and Top Coat in their winter-release pack (which was $9.95 to begin with, the price of one OPI polish) for 50% off as well. And because I work in the mall, I got 20% off my total purchase.

All told, I spent $16.something and got three bottles of polish. YAY! I'm awesome.

ANYWAYS. I tried SV with a Sephora polish that I bought a few weeks back. Did my nails, let them dry (which only took about fifteen minutes!), and spent an hour packing boxes.

Spent the entire next day at the call centre, typing on my computer. I'm paranoid and kept checking my nails, and NO chipping at all.

I'm impressed :)
