I kinda forgot about this blog... You know, for more than two weeks.
Not like anybody really READS it or anything, but...yeah... Sorry?
I haven't been particularly busy or anything (other than work). We make an overnight trip down to Calgary last Friday to see a friend who had flown out from Penticton for his grandfather's funeral.
Had Easter dinner at my parents' house the week before.
Actually, I may as well just say this now: I'm living with Rory now, and have been since the end of the month. My parents know about it. No, they're not impressed. And no, I'm not going to let what they think of it change my mind or my decision. Rory and I are adults and are free to do what we feel is best for us.
And while my parents aren't exactly supportive of our decision, I've got lots of friends and family who ARE. I'm grateful for their support and love, wouldn't survive without it.
We (that is, Rory and I) talked about this for months before I moved in... talked about money and things we wanted to do. We might not have every single detail ironed out, but that will all come in time. So far there have been a few little bumps in the road, but we've figured out *why* they happened and ironed them out.
After a few Andraea-sized meltdowns a couple nights ago, I realized that we hardly ever do anything that isn't at our house. We never go out and wander around, go to the park... After getting caught up in our work lives, everything else gets left by the wayside. I mentioned this to Rory, and suggested that we make an effort to go out on "dates" more often. Doesn't mean that we have to spend huge amounts of money or anything, but at least we will be having more of a... well, more of a "social life" together that isn't exclusively us-sitting-at-home-doing-nothing.
I think we're going to make an effort to go out with our friends more often, too. It'll be nice =)
We've both been working a lot recently. I've found work to be really frustrating and stressful lately, and I kinda snapped about a week and a half ago... so yeah, I need a vacation.
