Days 12 through 15

(I'm sorry, I really don't mean to forget to write as often as I should!)

I'm going to do the last four days of this in one shot. I've been so stupidly busy with work (because now I have to straighten out all the issues with our inventory-- I slacked over Christmas and things are a bit messy in our computer systems...) and now we're trying to pack and move (and somehow magically have enough money to do so? Oy veh.)

So, last four days. Behind the break! Click to read on.

Day 12 - What you believe

I was raised in a very conservative Christian household, with parents and grandparents and extended family who love God and do their best to do what they believe is right.

This has caused some conflict in the past couple years, because I stopped attending church when I was 19. I don't think I really need to get into the nitty gritty details here. It caused a lot of fights between me and my parents.

Since then, I've learned to relax and breathe, and to be a lot more calm and centered as a person. To a certain extent, yes, I do still believe in God. I also believe that our lives are entirely up to us-- happiness, sadness, success... you have to work for what you want in life. And I suppose that I believe in Karma as well-- insofar as I believe that the things we do, whether they be for the benefit or detriment of others (and ourselves) reciprocate themselves, one way or another.

I also believe in treating your body well, which is something I have to work at.

Day 13 - Goals

I suppose it's fitting that I write a few goals out now, too, especially seeing as how tonight is New Years' Eve.

1. Get into better eating and physical activity habits. I'm tired of being sore and sluggish and feeling gross. My body and I deserve better.

2. Sharpen up on my mostly-forgotten French, it's so weird being at Girard and Doucet family things and being one of the only people there who doesn't understand the Franglish.

3. Be an adult. It's hard. I like to whine. Do adults whine?

4. Clean my #$%^&!!#* house and KEEP IT CLEAN.

Day 14 - Some pictures you love

Who are these pictures supposed to be *of*? Me? Rory? Anything in general? I guess I'll just steal them from Facebook ;)
Elizabeth and me! From the family photos we had done at the beginning of October. :)
A photo of my parents from the same shoot. I love this one, they're such a good-looking couple!
The lighting is a bit weird, but I like it.

another really awesome one of all four of us :)

... okay, now I really want to get some photos done of Rory and myself.

Day 15 - Pictures of your dream house

This one I don't really think I can do, I have no idea what it would look like! Rory and I have talked about it, we want something medium-sized that had enough room for us and a potential child (or two), with space for an office and a game room (which would probably be in a basement).

I'd be happy with a bungalow or a two-story.

Decent sized kitchen, living room and half-bathroom on the main floor, a master suite (with ensuite bathroom) and two bedrooms (one used as a home office) +  a bathroom on the top floor, and a guest bedroom and a game room / rec room in the basement.
