chick flick night =]

I'm sitting on the couch watching He's Just Not That Into You. Rory is sitting in front of me, on the floor, half-watching the movie but also playing WoW.

Man, I love this movie.

It's not very frequently that I can convince Rory to watch chick flicks with me... but when I do, I make the needed compromises. Plus, I don't try to rope him into this very often. It's once every four months, maybe more.

I think the last chick flick we watched together was The Time Traveler's Wife. I think. Apart from that, when I'm in the need for a good giggle or something to make me bawl like an idiot (read: My Sister's Keeper), I either watch it myself or call up Stephie to come over and hang out.

On that note, Scarlett Johanssen (sp?) is GORGEOUS.

I might have mentioned in an earlier post that I splurged at the dollar store (ha!) and bought a bunch of acrylic paints, some cheapy brushes (that shed like nothing else), and cheap canvases. So I've been doing a bunch of painting lately. I'm quite enjoying it, it gives me something to do. Since we can't really paint the walls here (as much as I'd like to paint the wood-paneled wall in the living room to match the rest of the walls so it seems a bit less dark in here... same with the wooden crossbeam between the living room and kitchen/dining room), I may as well make myself busy making pretty things to put on the walls.

I'd post pictures of what I've done if I could find the camera. Nothing Van Gogh quality, of course, but I'm still a bit proud of myself =P Everything is in the colours that we're going to be decorating with when we can buy our own furniture and paint the walls (or at least have white walls...) .

I can't wait to move. But, of course, that depends on getting the finances together to actually move. And looking for a place. And moving.

Ha.

Watching: He's Just Not That Into You
Drinking: Dragon Pearls *sooo delicious, but it's like $40.95 (gst included) for 100g of the tea! Expensive enough that I'm either going to have to wait until this fall to treat myself to it, and/or get a job at DAVIDsTEA so I can have a discount to finance my addiction. Haha.*
