the return of the skinny pig

So today I got my pay stub... pay day is tomorrow.

Yeah, it was about $150 less than it usually is. Which sucks, SO much, because I'm barely scraping by as it is (yes, I know I have to control my spending habits, shush). It's frustrating. I don't have any savings aside from what's locked away for post-secondary for me. If I got seriously sick or anything right now, I would be completely screwed.

I don't think I can afford to live with my roommate anymore. Which leaves me with a few different options.

1) Get a second job. Work about 12 hours/day, 5 or 6 days a week, and save up as much as possible.
2) Move back in with my parents.
3) Find a new roommate and a cheap crappy little apartment
4) Movie in with Rory and wait until his lease is up at the beginning of May, then find a cheap little basement suite together.

Okay, as far as option #1 goes... I've been considering it for a while anyways, and it's something I might do over the summer ANYways. Mostly because I'm hoping to go back to school eventually... I'll do it by correspondence at the very least, but it would be nice to have some money saved up and not have to work full-time while I'm trying to get through school.

Option #2: HECK NO. I love my parents, but I've made a few choices that they are 100% opposed to. I don't intend to move back into their house because they would force me to live the way they want me to, they'd completely control my life again. I don't want that.

Numero Trois: Ehhhh... It's possible, but there aren't a lot of people that I trust enough to be able to live with them without killing them. Most of those few people are male, which will inevitably lead to awkwardness.

Choice 4: This is pretty much my best bet, even though I know my parents will freak right out (and possibly disown me). That's a chance I'm going to take, though. I mean... I've already told my sister about this, and she's supportive of me. She thinks that moving in together will be good for me and Rory. I spend a ton of time here as it is, it would make life easier if we just split rent on one place... even if the place he's living in right now is absolutely teeny.

The biggest problem, I think, is going to be fitting all my stuff into this little basement suite. Keeping in mind that Rory's lease expires at the beginning of May, that will be two moves within about 3 months.

I'm going to bring as much stuff over here as I can for now, but leave my desk and dresser at Jen's place until the end of next month.

So nervous. I hope all of this works.
