I have, sitting in my lap, a very pissed-off hedgehog.
Why?
Well, earlier today he was happy, crawling around on my lap and the couch (which had been lined by a towel and some fleece blankets to prevent hedgehog poop on the couch). Starting to get used to life. 'Sploring. Not freaking out -every- time I move (only every third time, haha)
I realized that the poor little guy kinda smells like poop, so I decided to give him a foot bath. What's that? I have this plastic lunch storage container that I bought at the dollar store last week (in hopes of using it as a litter box to go underneath his wheel, but to no avail). So I put about an inch and a half of lukewarm water in it, and lifted him inside. He bolted, pretty much instantly.
This happened three times, and then I wrapped him in a towel and went to empty the container and wash it out.
I came back to find that he'd run away, and after a small panic attack on my part (and a bit of searching), I found him under the desk that the TV, PS3 and PS2 are on top of, so I picked him out of there and brought him back to the couch. He's burrowing in the towel right now and slightly annoyed with me. But he's warm, more clean than he was before, and he's drying off. So PFFFFLBT, Mr. Shadow.
That being said, the next time I give him a bath, Rory's helping me.
Mind you, I -have- been productive today. I did some of the dishes (but not all, Rory said he'd help me do them when he gets home and, dang you, I'm holding him to it!!
I also washed all of Shadow's lineny-things, and cleaned his cage and wheel-- replaced the fleece liner in there. He, of course, promptly messed the wheel up again... but at least he's exercising!
I've also spent about two hours on various internet forums, wasting my time. Oopsy?
