I've decided that I'm going to post some sort of picture in every entry in here if I can... it makes it look less bland and boring. Text-only blogs bore the heck out of me. And so, I give you... sushi!
I miss having a working camera. I accidentally murdered my poor little Kodak last January (it was in my backpack and the LCD screen got crushed, probably by a textbook... stupid university.), and had nothing but my webcam until May, when I bought my BlackBerry. And even then, the camera on it is awful.
But Rory has a nifty little Casio that he bought at Costco that works quite nicely. I mean, I'd still love to have a Sony DSLR, but... they're expensive, and I don't have the money right now. And even if I did, it'd go into my savings... Rory and I are getting an apartment together in May / June (yay!) and I'd love to have savings as backup. And we're talking about buying a house together eventually... even though I'd hope that he'd get his act together and propose before that point. God only knows I love him, but I don't want to be the perpetual girlfriend.
I keep having dreams that he proposes to me... probably didn't help that he came into my work yesterday (I work at Peoples Jewelers) and was looking at shiny things for himself. Plus, my manager (being un-subtle) showed him the ring that I love... which is $799 retail, but with my discount (including warranty and GST) would only be like $666 (>_<"). Still, it's a far cry in price from the $2999 Canadian Celebration diamond solitaire that I love (and would still really love to have eventually, even though I probably never will). ... Yeah, I spend far too much time trying on rings at work. The downtown location that I was at up until yesterday (which was my last day there, I'm getting transferred to another location and being promoted to a store administrator on Monday) is a fairly quiet store. Lots of time to try on shinies. =D So yeah, if anyone that reads this want a new shiny glittery piece of jewellery, I know TONS about diamonds and coloured stones (and gold, silver, pearls, tungsten...) so just let me know! Plus, if you're in the Edmonton area, and if I like you enough (hehe), I might just share my discount with you!
